Therapy is human. So am I.

Hi, I’m Sam.

I’m a Filipino-American therapist shaped by my own experiences of culture, identity, and belonging. I bring those parts of myself into this work with a deep belief that there is no single “right” way to be a person.

My approach is relational, embodied, and liberation-oriented. That means we’ll get curious not only about what you’re experiencing, but where it came from - your relationships, your body, your history, your identities, and the larger systems you’ve had to navigate. Not everything we struggle with began within us, and healing doesn’t have to mean learning how to better fit into spaces that were never built with us in mind.

In our work, you can expect warmth, curiosity, honesty, and room for humor. I’m not interested in being a blank slate across from you. I believe genuine human connection is part of the work, and I want therapy to be a place where you can bring the messy, contradictory, tender, awkward, deeply human parts of yourself without judgment.

My work draws from attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, somatic approaches, and a sex-positive lens. Rather than trying to “fix” you, we’ll explore the patterns that have helped you survive, what your body and relationships might be communicating, and what becomes possible when you have more choice in how you move through the world.

Beyond the Therapy Room

My relationship with embodiment extends beyond my work as a therapist. I’m also a yoga instructor and a Reiki Level II practitioner, practices that have shaped my intrigue about the relationship between body, mind, connection, and presence.

Outside of work, you’ll find me writing, reading, creating and admiring art, listening to the ocean, and telling my plants and pets how beautiful they are. My village and community are deeply important to me, and I believe wholeheartedly in the healing power of connection.

I’m endlessly curious about what helps us feel more at home in ourselves.

Let’s get curious together.

Finding the right therapist matters. If you’re wondering about working together, have questions, or want to see if we might be a good fit, I’d love to hear from you.
